At this point in time there exists no narrative within the game that justifies every bad, petty, cruel or murderous action that Ella did. Nothing in the game, or in her behavior suggests that she would have altruistic reasons for this.
I already provided evidence that she likely has altruistic (although is it really altruistic to save the world?) reasons, but if you're just going to outright pretend I didn't say things that I did, and that I said things I didn't, there's not much point in continuing this with you.

From what I understand about Ella she doesn't have an altruistic goal, if I remember correctly she states that her plan is aimed at saving who she wants to save, even if in the process she saves people who she doesn't want to save, so is Ella evil? Yes, she does several cruel things unnecessarily. Is she a villain? perhaps, I would call her an anti-hero since her goal is "good" and she acts based on her interests. if what she claims is true, which we cannot claim as certain.

Yes, that's why I questioned if it was an altruistic goal. I went with it because I'd already made it clear what her goal is so I assumed he just thought saving the world is an altruistic goal.

I mean Ella IS evil, just not pure evil
Wait, what called a Ella a failure? Is that a high corruption only scene?

The other time it seems Memory considers her a failure after she refuses to kill Christie during the flashback of her high-school massacre.

My interpretation is that this was a mix of evolution trance (we have examples of people going nuts during it) with possesion by either Body or Memory (voices are show speaking in Ella's place, from what i remember she even tells them to shut up).
However her not killing anyone is a stretch, since she was at least somewhat conscious and in control even before finding Christie, and it seems she knew what was supposed to happen there and accepted the plan regardless.
Now as for if it is justifiable to kill at least dozens of innocent people to (apparently) awaken her memory powers and thus reach whatever her goal is, i will wait for more information.

Man, remember when all the Ella simps raged about how "she didn't killed children" (exactly the same age as her) back in the day.
and it was pure speculation that she didn't killed them.

then we find out what happened that year, it was ella who killed them.
she was literally not possessed by a higher entity beforehand that called ella a failure and said it will harvest those people as resources to upgrade/fix ella with. Something she knew before hand
then ella only stabbed herself (after not trying at all) to disrupt her evolution/fixing (giving up power in the process) in order to end the possession early to stop it from killing only her friend and no one else

None of the ella simps who wrote entire essays about how Ella is "literally jesus" for sTaNDiNG uP to the bIG bAD possessor ever stop dick riding nor admitted they were wrong.
They just pivoted into other excuses to not blame her for being there in the first place.
sauce for ur pfp?

Clues not evidence (possible vs certain), but ok.

Ugh, I fucked up. I usually keep 2-3 saves to be safe but mistakenly thought it was safe to shift my saves forward. Now my latest save is in the Cole fight on the "Slow and reliable" vs "Fast and Risk" screen and all roads lead to death. Rewinding doesn't go far back enough for a decision and I have no idea anyway how far back I'd need to go to fix whatever it was I did to fuck up.

Man I'm stupid sometimes. Should've known better than to overwrite the save at the start of the fight before the fight was over.

This story is great but also so damn long. I don't know if I have it in me to restart. Ah well.

i have something around 30 pages worth of saves. Always make back-ups.

Also as a side note, you can skip to the next choice by shift clicking on the skip button. So instead of speeding through the text with ctrl, you can just immediately jump to the next choice.

That's an entirely made up distinction.
Evidence: "the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid."

But at any rate, it's more 'clues' than you came up with.

You said you wanted to stop this, so why do you keep going?

Right, because trolling is fun.

You're the one who made an entirely meaningless (and fabricated) semantic distinction just so you could have the last word.
